Treat yourself to an enchanted and fantastic break at Kaysersberg’s authentic Christmas market. Discover artisanal products and meet talented creators in their little wooden chalets nestled in the heart of the historical centre of the medieval town.

Leave all your problems behind and take a heady and magical break into the Christmas Land; let yourself be charmed, enjoy the moment and go back home with eyes full of sparkles ! Christmas is the Alsatians’ favorite time of the year. The residents of the medieval city Kaysersberg decorate their windows with pine tree tinsels and, as soon as it gets dark, the imperial city lights up and becomes magnificent. As this festive and joyful atmosphere sets in during the four weekends of Advent, the smells of cinnamon blend with those of mulled wine and invade the narrow, lively streets of Kaysersberg, which won the title of “French People’s Favorite Village” in 2017.

If you defy the winter cold, you will be in awe of the creations from the craftsmen carefully selected to exhibit in the thirty small chalets nestled in an authentic and picturesque 17th century setting at the foot of the Kaysersberg castle ruins. The picks for your Christmas presents are endless : a nice wooden toy for the youngest one, a beautiful ceramic vase for your mother-in-law, hearts made of colored fabric for your little sister, a lovely Advent wreath for your grandma, curious beans for your little brother who collects them… In short, there is something for every taste and every budget, to give as a present or to please yourself. You will not be able to resist our gourmet specialties like Bredalas (the famous little Christmas cakes filled with almonds, nuts, anise, chocolate or vanilla), sweet or salty Kougelhopf (the strange-shaped brioche), Beraweckas (dried fruit bread), Manalas (little brioche men)... Along with a delicious hot chocolate or mulled wine.
