Gourmet Alsace > Alsace wine route > Cleebourg-Marlenheim to Gertwiller

The region of Wissembourg and Cleebourg, in the north of the Bas-Rhin, is worth a visit. Its vineyards and its specially preserved traditions will be a foretaste of the picturesque region of Alsace that you will discover starting from the northern gateway to the Alsace wine road at Marlenheim.
Discover the magnificent panorama of the vineyards of the “Couronne d’Or” and the “Piémont” of the Bas-Rhin, then visit the many examples of medieval and religious architecture such as the “Chartreuse de Molsheim”, the “Mont Saint-Odile” and the town of Obernai.
There will also be a chance to taste the local gastronomic specialities: foie gras, Gertwiller gingerbread, or the famous local wines, such as the Klevener of Heiligenstein or the “Rouge d’Ottrott.
