Château de Kintzheim

Kintzheim Castle was first mentioned in the year 1270 and was bought by the city of Sélestat in the 15th century before being sold again in the 17th century. It consists of a round keep complemented by a shield wall, chapel, and accommodations. The castle walls also house the Bird of Prey Sanctuary, which offers an unforgettable and inspiring spectacle: The largest birds of prey in the world in free-flight demonstrations. Here, you have the unique opportunity to observe these majestic creatures up close, something that would be nearly impossible in the wild. Witness the world’s mightiest birds of prey fly just a few inches away you in an authentic medieval setting.(source : www.upperrhinevalley.com)
